The psychedelic/noise rock band founded in Taipei in 2016. Dope Purple channel influences from hard rock, noise and psychedelia with a particular emphasis on sounds from the Japanese underground, into a cosmic guitar explosion.

Dope Purple is committed to promoting Taiwan's psychedelic rock culture and hosts the Taipei Psychedelic Rock Music Festival(2022/23) inviting musicians like Makoto Kawabata(Acid Mothers Temple) and Taigen Kawabe (Bo Ningen). At the same time, Dope Purple has been actively touring in China, where they have received high praise.
